一、教学目标:

1. 会认读新单词:fantastic, mud, dress up, all alone, sound...

2. 能在熟练朗读的基础上尝试复述故事

3. 能正确理解故事大意以及深层寓意

4. 培养阅读策略:

1)读前预测,形成阅读期待;

2)仔细读图,通过观察、分析,找到更多细节信息并对故事发展进行预测。

3)带着问题有目的地进行自主阅读

二、教学过程

Step1. Warming up

  1. Greeting

  2. Free talk

      T: Today we’ll go on our topic “A party”. We know Western people like having parties very much. What party are you excited about?

      Ss: I’m excited about...

    Step2. Before-reading

      T: Are you excited about a fantastic party?出示planplastic两个单词,引导学生尝试朗读单词fantastic

      Ss: Yes.

      T: Today well read a story about a fantastic party. Look at the front cover, whose fantastic party is it?

      Ss: 阿瑟

      T: 出示ArtThursday两个单词引导学生正确朗读人名Arthur

      T: Who is Arthur? A man? A horse?

      Ss: No. Arthur is a donkey.渗透donkey

      T: So today our storys title is ...

      Ss: Arthurs fantastic party. T根据学生的回答粘贴板书,齐读两遍

      T: Before reading, what do you want to know about the party/?

      Ss: Who is coming to the party?

         When is Arthur going to have the party?

         Why is the party fantastic?

         What will happen at the party?

         ...

    Step3. While-reading

  3. T: You have many questions. First, lets read page2 and page3. Try to tell me Who will Arthur have the party for?

      Ss: He will have a party for all the best, most fantastic animals.

      T: What animals do you think are fantastic?

      Ss: I think ...are fantastic.

      T: Do you think Arthurs idea is a good idea? Why?

      Ss: ...

  4. T: Lets go on. Please read the story on page4 and page5. And try to answer these question.

      Q1. Who knew the party?

      Q2. Who told them about the party? And how?

      T: Who knew the party?

      Ss: The three pigs, the wolf and the bears knew the party.

      T: Who told them?

      Ss: Flora told the three pigs.

      T: Who told the wolf? Flora or the three pigs? If you are not sure, think of who told the bears first?

      Ss: The wolf.

      T: How do you know?

      Ss: From the picture.

      T: Yes, you can watch the pictures carefully. So do you know who told the wolf?

      Ss: The three pigs.

      T: Yes. They all knew the fantastic party. Soon all the animals were talking about Arthurs fantastic party. Did they want to go to the fantastic party?Guess.

      Ss: Yes.

      T: Maybe.

  5. T: Lets go on our reading. But this time, different groups read different pages. Group1 and group2 read from page6 to page9. Group3 reads from page10 to page11. Group4 reads from page12 to page13. Are you clear? After reading, you should try to finish the worksheet on your exercise paper. OK?

      Ss: OK.

      T: Here are some tips for you. First, when you cant read the new words, you can think of the old words with the same letters. Then, if you cant understand the words, try to look at the pictures and guess.OK?

  6. 学生分组分别对6——13页相应故事内容进行学习,并完成相应练习。

  7. 校对答案

    T: Who wanted to go to the party?

    Group1: The three pigs.

    Group2: The wolf.

    Group3: The three bears.

    T: What fantastic things could they do?

    Group1: The three pigs loved mud.

    T: How do you know it is /mud/.

    S: mum

    T: Perfect. So smart.What does it mean?

    S: 泥。

    T: Great. 新授“mud泥”How about group2?

    Group2: The wolf liked dressing up.

    T: What does dressing up mean?新授“dress up装扮、打扮”

    Group3: The bears made good porridge.

    T: What does porridge mean?

    S: 粥。

    T: Yes, Chinese people like eating porridge for breakfast.

    T: What did Arthur think about them?

    Group1: That didnt sound fantastic to him.

    Group2: That didnt sound fantastic to him.

    Group3: That didnt sound fantastic to him.

    T: What does sound fantastic mean?

    Ss: 听起来不可思议

    T: Could they go to the party?

    Ss: No, they couldnt.

  8. Try to say

    T: According to the worksheet, and the key words, try to retell the story from page6 to page13.

    Ss根据表格内容和关键词提示,将三段故事内容进行整合复述。

  9. T: You all did good job. Now what do you think about Arthurs party would be now?

    Ss: ...

    T: Lets go on the story and have a look how the party was.出示故事片段14——17

      T: How was the partyFantastic?

      Ss: No.

      T: The party didnt seem so fantastic after all.齐读两遍

      T: How did Arthur feel?

      Ss: He felt sad/...

      T: He was all alone.新授词组“all alone孤独寂寞的”

      T: How did the animals feel when Arthur told them not to come to the party?

      Ss: They were sad./...

      T: If you were Arthur, what would you do?

      Ss: ...

  10. T: Lets go on the story and find out: What did Arthur do?出示故事18——23,进行图片环游

    T: What did Arthur do?

    Ss: He went to tell the pigs.

    T: Then the pigs told the wolf and the wolf told the bears about the party.

    T: Did the animals go to the party?

    Ss: Yes.

    T: Look at page19. Soon all the animals were on their way to Arthurs party.齐读两遍。

    T: What did the animals do at the party?

    Ss: They all played games and rolled about in the mud.

    T: What does roll about mean?Look at the picture. They rolled about in the mud.

    Ss: 翻滚。

    T: How did they feel now?

    Ss: ...

    T: How was the party?Fantastic?

    Ss: Yes.

    T: If you were the animals, would you still go to the party? Why?

    Ss: ...

    渗透情感教育We are friends. We should be tolerant and grateful, then the world will be full of love.

    Step4. After-reading

  11. Read the whole story after the computer.

  12. In this story,there are many animals. Look, three pigs, the wolf, the bears. What stories do they remind you of? After class, you can read these stories again.

    Step5. Homework

  13. Read the story again, and try to tell to your friends.

  14. Read more animal stories.
