We all love ice cream

一、教学目标

Teaching aims and learning objectives:

By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. understand the story;

2. act out the story and experience the characters feeling;

3. learn some reading strategies, such as guessing the meaning of new words, experiencing the characters feelings by observing the pictures, etc.;

4. understand the moral of the story.

三、教学过程

Teaching procedures:

Step Pre-reading

1.  Sing a song: Super simple learning

2. Guess: What is it?(Its sweet.We all love it.We usually eat it in summer.)ice cream

3.揭题:T:Do you love it?Ss:Yes.We all love ice cream

4. Look and ask: Today we are going to read a picture book-We all love ice cream.This is the cover of the book.Do you have any questions of the story(观察封面,读取信息,对故事提出疑问)

学生可能提出的问题:Who are in the story?What happened?When happened?Where are they?Why do they like ice cream?

教师总结学生提问的大问题:Who? What?When..?Where...?Why...?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step While-reading

1. Reading for main idea

(1) Skim and get:Who?When..?Where...?浏览绘本,找出故事中的人物时间、地点

(2) Read for main idea: Plot

How do we divide the story into three scenes?读故事,为每个部分找到相应页码。

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Reading for details (What happened?)

A. Scene1 (P4-11)

(1) Read and find: What does Fred look down at the dish?

教师引导孩子通过观察图片知道Fred不喜欢西兰花

(2) Read and act: Teacher asks2students to act Fred and Mum.

(3) Read three sentences:I dont like brcoccoli

尝试让学生观察Fred三次说不喜欢西兰花的表情和动作有什么不同。

(4) What does Mum say to Fred?

 

 

 

 

 

 

让学生演一演妈妈

B. Scene2. (P12-17)

(1)Enjoy imaging: What does Fred say to his mother?

Mumif...,Ill...

(2) Read and feel: Students read the dialogue and feel the characters mood.

教师要引导孩子通过观察图片上人物的表情来体会人物的内心,从而将情感反应到朗读中。

(3) Act and feel: Teacher asks 1 students to act Mum and the other is Fred donkeys and hens

C. Scene3. (P18-21)

 (1) Think and guess: What happened then?

精读第18-19页,找出Father想让母子二人吃各自的胡萝卜和西兰花,是怎么说的?

(2) If you were Dad, what would you say and what would you do?

Step  Post-reading

1. What do you think of Freds father?

2. Enjoy reading.

3. Enjoy acting

4. Enjoy thinking

One day, your dad wants you to eat something you dont like.
What will he say?

Step IV  Homework

1.Tell the story to your parents.
