3.能正确的理解并朗读课文，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

   What food materials do they have?

   根据学生的回答，新授食物单词：a tomato, tomatoes; a potato, potatoes; a carrot, carrots; vegetable(s); meat

2. They have so many food materials. What are they cooking?

   (1)阅读58页图1，回答问题What is Mr Liu cooking? What does Mrs Liu want to cook?

   (2)新授meat with potatoes; tomato soup

(过渡语)The soup is yummy. I love it. I always cook it at weekends.

   (3)渗透：What do we need to cook this soup?复习食物单词：two tomatoes, a potato, a carrot,some broccoli

   阅读59页图2，回答问题What is Liu Tao doing? What juice does he want? What juice does he find? Why does he want juice? For dinner? Can you find any juice on the table? You can find the answer on Page58.
