一、教学目标：

1. 知识目标：

(1) 能初步感知并理解故事，能够体会故事中主要人物的不同情感，用不同的语气朗读并表演故事。

(2) 能够简单地听、说、读单词及词组：sign, smell, at a shopping centre, be careful, mean, floor, in a restaurant

2. 技能目标：

(1) 能借助提示，完整地复述本课对话。

(2) 通过本课时的学习，让学生能够看懂一些常见的公共标识，并能用英语进行询问极其描述。

3. 情感目标：

(1) 根据标志的意思，能够介绍、询问、给人以忠告和建议。

(2) 通过学习公共标志常识，加强社会公德教育，提高学生自身的文明素养。

Step 1. Warming up

1. Enjoy a song      Q: What is the song about?

S: Signs.

Teach: sign-signs

T: Today we’ll learn Unit5 Signs

2. No littering

  T: Look at this sign. What does it mean?

   Teach: mean- What does it mean?

A: It means you can’t sit here.

B: It means you can’t litter here.

Teach: litter 乱扔垃圾

T: So we can call this sign” No littering”

3. Look and name

T: Here are more signs. Let’s name them. Give them names.

key words: wet  smoking  littering  eating  drinking

Wet floor. / No smoking. / No eating or drinking. / No littering.

Teach: smoke-smoking 吸烟

4. 板书 巩固以上所学的标识

Look at the blackboard.  Do you remember their names?

5. Where can you see the signs in your life?

We can see the signs in…..

Step 2. Presentation

1. Watch and match : Where do they see the signs?

T: Just now we talked about the signs. We can see the signs anywhere in our life.

Today, Mike, Helen, and Tim , They see the signs too. Where do they see the signs?  Let’s watch and match!

 Teach: shopping centre 购物中心

       The shopping centre is very big. There are many things in it.

       restaurant 饭店

2. Read and talk

  T: They see four signs at the shopping centre, in the juice shop, in the bookshop and in the restaurant. What do the signs mean? Read the text and underline the answer. Then talk with your deskmate!

  Ss ask answer in pairs:

    -What does it mean?

-It means…

3. Read the story.

Step3. Consolidation.

1. Helen comes back home in the afternoon. Now, she is chatting with her friends on the Wechat. Can you help her?

  Fill in the blanks according to the text.

2. Show some signs in our daily life: Please follow the rules, try to be a good citizen!
