Step 1. Warming up
1. Enjoy a song Q: What is the song about?
S: Signs.
Teach: sign-signs
T: Today we’ll learn Unit5 Signs
2. No littering
T: Look at this sign. What does it mean?
Teach: mean- What does it mean?
A: It means you can’t sit here.
B: It means you can’t litter here.
Teach: litter 乱扔垃圾
T: So we can call this sign” No littering”
3. Look and name
T: Here are more signs. Let’s name them. Give them names.
key words: wet smoking littering eating drinking
Wet floor. / No smoking. / No eating or drinking. / No littering.
Teach: smoke-smoking 吸烟

2. Read and talk
T: They see four signs at the shopping centre, in the juice shop, in the bookshop and in the restaurant. What do the signs mean? Read the text and underline the answer. Then talk with your deskmate!
