《牛津小学英语》中设计了很多调查性任务——Do a survey。学生通过与同伴之间的交流互动，交际能力能得到很快的发展。大部分教师对此类任务的利用，仅仅满足于调查结果的形成。实际上，我们可以对调查结果进行再次开发和利用，让学生将图表式的、片断的调查结果改写成完整的短文，以培养学生的综合运用能力和写作能力。

【案例4】

5B Unit 3 Hobbies，本课中的Do a survey以表格形式罗列了学生常见的各种hobbies，并让学生调查几位好朋友，同时在表中记录调查结果。调查完成后，要求学生选择调查结果中一位或两位同学的hobbies，写成一篇短文。为了降低难度，可以引导、启发学生，帮学生理清思路，扩展写作角度，并提供一些逻辑性很强的重点词汇和串联全文的重点句子，让学生的作品尽量丰富、饱满。

一位学生的作品：

                            My friends’ hobbies

Everyone has some hobbies. My hobbies are playing football and going fishing. My good friend Wang Tao’s hobbies are playing football and drawing pictures. So we have the same bobby, playing football. He plays well and me, too. We often go to play football in the sports field on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. But sometimes we don’t play football. When we feel too tired, he draws pictures and I go fishing with my father. Wang Tao can draw nice pictures and sometimes he draws lovely animals for me. I like his pictures very much.
